Motorcycle Bell Legend
I never realized until I was a passenger on my husband’s motorcycle that many riders have a little bell attached to their bikes. After some quick research, I learned the legend of these cute bells. As far as good luck charms go, this one has a great story!
According to the legend, “Evil Road Spirits” have been coming along for the ride on motorcycles ever since bikes were invented. These spirits are responsible for breakdowns, mechanical malfunctions and just plain bad luck on the trip.
This legend continues to say that “Evil Road Spirits” gets pulled in and trapped inside the rider’s bell and proceeds to go insane because of the constant ringing. Rumor has it that potholes are made when a spirit hits the ground after falling out of the bell.
The best part about the legend is that if you buy a bell for yourself, you only get a fraction of the power from it as you would if someone gives it to you as a gift. So, buy bells for your fellow riding friends and write to Santa for your own!
